Every protein in the body, every bit of fuel in the blood, every enzyme necessary for the thousands of reactions that take place every second, come directly from or are derived from what we eat. When we understand this, the equation becomes simple: If, through diet, we provide our bodies with the proper molecules in the proper amounts, our bodies will function normally. If, on the other hand, our diets do not provide the cells with the substances they need, our bodies will malfunction in one way or another.

What may seem obvious to some, deserves repeating; we are what we eat and the quality of the foods we eat determines to a large extent the quality of our thoughts, emotions, happiness, and our longevity. Eat whole, fresh, organic, and farm raised foods wherever possible and yours will be a much happier life. As Emerson said, 'Health is your greatest wealth.'

I was going to reply to your post... but the comment I had turned out to be longer than what you'd actually posted. I'm probably just too wordy! But I've decided instead to just make it a post in and of itself to add my own thoughts and second what you've written here. Great post!
