Hello AlphaWomen!
I hope to contribute a wealth of information to this site over time that will help those of you who either own a business or work in the corporate world.
I write on both entrepreneurial and management topics that are designed to help you make more money, have more time to 'have a life' (we all want that, right?), be better leaders, and choose a work/life style that is authentically about you.
I also write about Personal Branding for business owners and for corporate employees. This is a great topic that is finally getting entrenched in the business world across the U.S. I'll probably start blogging about this topic first.
If anyone is wondering if they are in the right field or wondering if they should change careers or businesses, doing some work on your Personal Brand is a great way to decide what it is that you really want, and then branding yourself also involves developing and implementing your brand into your career or business that leads to a lot more success.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to say. I own a small business that is doing quite well online that I'm thoroughly enjoying. I have been "winging it" for the past 5 years as I had no business experience (I work in IT for the government). I plan to retire within the next year and my business will be my "work" to supplement the pension and to enjoy during my retirement.

Hello! I'm new here, and am working on starting my own business. I am really looking forward to everything you have to say on this subject!
Right now I am working on a name and the image I am trying to project through that name. Am I being too picky to consider changing that name if it is not available as a website name? (it's not available as www. xxxx.com, but I have been unable to find an actual site with the name I want to use) I know the importance of your target customer being able to find you easily on the web.
