Dyeing

I can’t be the one only who’s prematurely gray, right? Please tell me that I’m not alone when I say it SUCKS!!!!

Growing up I watched every single woman on my mom’s side of the family go prematurely gray and never once did I think that it would be happen to me (if only I was lucky enough to be blond like my husband!). I can’t tell you how it pisses me off when my husband says, “do I have any gray hair?” Every time I look in the mirror a new crop of gray hairs have sprouted seemingly overnight and there’s nothing I can do to slow down the invasion. While I know that gray hair is a part of life and not the end of it, nevertheless I can’t stand it. I try to console myself with images of famous women who have either gone completely gray or just started too. There’s Jamie Lee Curtis, Stacey London (my idol), and Cruella De Ville (I couldn’t resist throwing her in). It’s not working and here I am dyeing the gray’s and can’t help but be reminded that this is just the beginning. Who am I kidding…I’ll be dyeing my hair as long as I live (and even then I might put in my will…Please dye my hair before you bury me).
Beautiful to me is being happy inside and out. Maybe I’m being vain but to all the women out there who are completely gray and still look fierce…I applaud you!!! I hope one day I can do the same but until then I’m going to keep dyeing them.

My mother dyes her hair -

My mother dyes her hair - honestly, you would look beautiful either way. If nature intends it, it can't do much harm. If you dye it, no one will ever know. Win-win situation Smiling
