Hello summer! I love your warm weather, long days, colorful foliage. And there goes another dropped call.

The trees are in bloom - and apparently, are blocking the waves from space to my Sirius radio. Likewise, the pollen count is high...high enough to increase the drop-rate on my cellphone calls.

I'm not saying I don't love this weather - I do. It just seems ironic that Mother Nature interferes with our technologies so easily. No, it's not an act-of-God devastation. But it is a mildly annoying day-to-day occurrence that makes me miss a lot of Howard Stern's Sirius-broadcast insights into humanity...and makes me hit the "send" button on my phone a few too many times.

Even though that does bug me, it also fills me with a little hope to see that nature is still stronger than technology...for now.
