While trying to put my baby to bed last night, I was thinking hard how I can lose weight amidst this crazy schedule of mine, full time job and watching my toddler at night. I mean my cousin said I have to stop eating carbs, I tried portion control but it seems that it is not working. I don't seem to have enough discipline. It is hard to find time to do my tread mill too. But I remembered back when I was in the Philippines, we ate fish and vegetables and rice all the time and then walk all the time and I looked like Ally McBeal my family always made fun of me. Maybe if I go back to my old kind of food, filipino food and walk more it will work! I mean how hard can that be? Instead of eating american food just eat the way I used to! American food is way too greasy for me and the lifestyle here is... it is so easy to be sedentary. I already parked my car as far as I can from the building I worked so I can walk and I made sure I took the longest route to walk possible. If only America was safe to walk it would have been easier because I could easily walk to work but too bad...I am actually excited about this plan. I shopped yesterday for fish and vegetables and today I was successful so far in sticking to it.
This week, I am on vacation so it should give me all the preparation needed to get used to this "plan".
MY PLAN:
fish and veggies during the week and no drinks strictly water only
weekends any food but all portion control
sit ups: 100 a day (for my problem area-tummy from pregnancy)
daily walking around work area
My goal is to get to 105 lbs by December this year. I am currently 125 lbs, 34 yrs old and 5 foot tall. Any comments, suggestions, most welcome.
Wish me luck!!!

Hi Jane,
I really think you've got a great plan. And even better, it's not something new or trendy - it's a diet - no, a lifestyle - you've done in the past, and it's worked for you. The walking is great, too. You're going to get to 105 easily.

And that is a good goal. You
And that is a good goal. You can do it. I can't stand the American Diet either. I live on Italian diet. I love cucumber salads, fresh tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and thin pizza with barely any cheese on it. I like simple. You are gonna be fine.
good plan!
You have a good plan going. If you have a setback, don't worry! You can always start again tomorrow.
Good luck and keep us posted on your results!
