Freda Mooncotch is an innovative entrepreneur whose vision for AlphaWomen.com was conceived around the realization that a place on the internet did not yet exist for strong, modern women to talk about issues that are relevant in today's society. Envisioning a place where women could express themselves in a hate-free environment and where their opinions truly mattered, Freda also wanted to create a space where like-minded women could learn from one another by sharing their personal stories and experiences. "This is Sex and the City on-line, but it is real women discussing real life, they are the voices, they are the writers."

Freda attended North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, specializing in Organizational Communications. In addition, Freda pursued a BA in Religion at Andrews University in Michigan. Seven classes short of obtaining her B.A. in Religion, she grew tired of the hypocrisy and narrow-minded views of her educators and fellow peers. She packed her bags and left in search of opportunities that would allow her to embrace her beliefs, while making an impact on society. At the age of 23, while raising her son as a single mom, she owned and operated her first business. This is was the start of her entrepreneurial spirit.

Her hobbies include learning how to race cars, writing, dancing and golfing. She has been instrumental in running the family business, La Grange Crane Service Inc., one of Chicago's premier crane service companies, www.LaGrangeCrane.com.
