- I'm a late blooming Alpha Woman. Up until the age of 53, I devoted most of my adult life to my family, not that that there's anything wrong with that. But an Alpha woman, as I see her, is someone who balances her own individual needs, desires and dreams with that of being the nurturer. At 53, I decided it was my turn so I began an entrepreneurship of women's hiking tours to Israel. My company, WomenWalkers Travel, developed 3 years ago, is a fantasy come true. Having lived in Israel at the age of 19 for a year, I found a way to live out my fantasy. Every tour I meet a new group of friends who join me in this fantasy- we all become teenagers on an adventure of a lifetime-hiking, laughing, exploring and having the time of our lives. I'm glad that I started this business but sorry that it took me so long to do so. I have discovered that there are many Alpha Women out there. They are the ones saying, "This is something that I want to do," and by god they do it!
