gosh, i've only dated one ugly guy ever, and that was by accident. as fate would have it, we found ourselves working together twice; the second time around is when we became good friends. he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and i had just separated from my husband. i knew he was attracted to me and it was flattering, so friendly outings turned into casual courting, and because he was so nice and i really liked him as a person, i looked beyond the ugliness (or what i consider ugly). i like my men tall, dark and handsome, and he was only dark.

watching my mother being totally dependent on my stepfather sickened me, and it had painful consequences. with that said, i vowed to always take care of myself, and that meant paying my own bills. thanks be to God, i've been able to do that so far--not without trials, tribuation and challenges of course. nevertheless, my answer would have to be no for 2 reasons: 1) i like looking at a good-looking man and, 2)my independence won't allow me to let someone pay my bills.
