My friend and freelance writer Marcie Hill and I were chatting today about our two worlds as single women and as women in general. She was sharing with me some very interesting things about the African American community and women. I was very enlightened after our conversation and am looking forward to her joining our ranks as a writer. She certainly has much to say and I like it!
I would like to share with you an article that she recently wrote for Mahogany Magazine called, "Desperate Women..........Not Just On TV."
I have attached the article here.

That is one of the main reasons that I cannot sit through the show 'Desperate Housewives'--they are all too painfully desperate. The worst, in my opinion, is the lead character played by Teri Hatcher. There are moments when she is so painfully pathetic and where the writers on the show place her in situations that are so unrealistic (at least, I hope) and that are so frustrating to watch....
I enjoyed reading this. I
I enjoyed reading this. I hope that Marcie joins the community. I am looking forward to reading more of her posts.
I agree, why would a woman give basically a complete stranger the keys to her home and direct access to her children. How is it that everyone else in a community knows the children are being abused and molested, yet the parents or in these situations, the mother claims to have no idea? It is true that love is that blind?
What creates such desperation in a person? I would like to know that.
