Oh, I know what you’re thinking, ”I’m a grown woman I don’t shop there.”
I’m not saying your entire wardrobe should consist of Tinker bell t-shirt’s, hot pants and baby doll dresses. But store’s like Charlotte Russe, Forever21 and H&M can offer woman of all ages the opportunity to add some trendy pieces to their age appropriate wardrobe. We are living in a time where women are marrying men young enough to be their son’s (like Demi and Ashton). Women who avoid this dept. in fear of looking like they’re trying to be something they’re not… are missing out.
Some of the items you can get there to add to our “age appropriate” wardrobes are tank tops (great for layering with suits), summer dresses (you can wear them as beach cover ups), and some fun accessories (like clunky bracelets or some trendy hoops). Some stores do a better job of catering to both the young and more matured. One in particular is H&M. If you’re one of the few lucky one’s who happen to have one near you check them out. Their selection is just incredible. It’s the type of store where you can take your daughter (or little sister) shopping and come out with a cute alternative for your suit jacket. Even big department stores like Nordstrom and Macy’s have great junior departments that carry a wide variety of styles that won’t make you look like you’re back in high school.
My wardrobe is based on my style, age and how I feel. Sometimes the junior department is just the place to help me find that middle ground.

Usually I hate shopping in the junior department because of the "size range" button that pushes my self-esteem down. If I'm a medium in women's, I'm bound to be a large in juniors. I really would not recommend going to Kohl's junior section - I am very close to despising it and all the little girls that shop there. But what you said about H&M certainly holds true. If you ever have some extra cash, go there! I especially love their earrings and scarves
junior dept.
I do realize that at times it can be discouraging when something doesn't fit. But no one will notice if you are wearing a small or x-large. What I do when something(like tanks or shirts) doesn't fit as well as I'd like it to is use it as an accent. If all else fails you can use these stores just to keep up on current styles to compliment your's.
