The New Boob Job by Victoria's Secret!

Everyone who knows me knows that I had a boob job. I don't hide it or try to pretend that I didn't, I readily admit it. I don't regret it for a moment. I love them, wouldn't change them for the world. I have also suggested it to many women who have also done it and I have never heard a single one complain. That being said, it was approximately ten years ago and they need to be "updated." Yeah that is right; they only have a shelf life of about ten years. So about every ten years you have to get them redone. It is worth it though.

I recommend every woman who wants one to get one. But, don't go crazy. Talk to some women who want to get breast reductions before you get crazy. Back problems, bra indentations, if you put on weight that is the first place it goes, and more.

I loved my doctor because NO ONE can tell. To this day, everyone assumes they are natural and are shocked when I tell them they aren't. He did a very good job at keeping them in proportion with my body and making them appear very real. He would call this, "Pear Shaped."

I think this time around, I could go more for the Heidi Klum look. Fake or not, those look really good and I am straight as an arrow. So, the reason I am on this topic is that I bought a very classy, sexy shirt from Giorgio Armani and it calls for a special bra. I am in dyer need of a "special bra" since I don't put that much effort into my undergarments. And this top is a cute little number; anything less than special would look tacky and ruin the shirt. As I was on my way to the gym, I happened to pass by Victoria Secrets and went it.

First let me say this, I can't stand Victoria's Secret. I think I have rejected everything it is about, I don't know, I just find them appalling. Sex, Sex, Sex.......the focus is all wrong in my opinion. Start with my mind then we will worry about what I am wearing underneath my cloths. The older I get, the more about ME it has become and less about HIM. I want to be the focus and that starts in my head. I lost the ambition to scantly cloth myself in order to impress a man. Besides, I don't want a man who wants me scantly dressed. I dress for ME.

Not wanting to spend much time in the store, I grabbed the first bra when I entered the door. Very basic, no lace, no frills, no buttons or bows, just a simple bra. I bought the new BIO FIT bra. I am a 34C but they talked me into getting a 34D because it tends to run smaller. No problem, I can return them if they don't work. I got home, tried the bra on and WOW. I have to say that I can get by another year without a boob job because these bra's are great. Maybe, I have just been buying all the wrong bras.

This bra is absolutely amazing. It gave me everything I was looking for and more. It is comfortable, smooth, fits perfect, and really enhances my breast. I recommend this bra for anyone who has boobs and is looking for a little help! It looks fantastic underneath my shirt too. I couldn't be happier.

Who is Victoria selling to anyway, Men or Women? Because the store completely turns me off. It seems that they are marketing to a very youthful, or younger market - 14 year olds perhaps?

So if you are looking for some smooshing, some lift, and some cleavage, I recommend the BioFit and go one cup size bigger! Each bra cost approximately $48.00. But, I promise it will be the best $48.00 you have spent on yourself.

Femininity not Sex

In a recent interview, the head of Victoria’s Secret discussed their downhill revenue slide and attributed it to exactly what you hate about the store…..sex, sex, sex. Selling to men and not women. They are now looking to get back to their roots, femininity. It will be interesting to see how they make this change and if it works. BTW – their biggest selling line is their “pink” line which is targeted to college age women.

That's what I thought (about

That's what I thought (about the 'pink' line)! It must be doing pretty well, I've noticed entire stores dedicated to it now...And their absolutely decked out like college dorm rooms, now that I think about it....

You have me very tempted to

You have me very tempted to try it out...as I'm always on the hunt for a new bra...but my experience with Victoria's Secret has always been so-so.

And as a side note, yes, I absolutely believe they cater to 14-year-olds. That is the demographic always tearing through those bins with all the half off bras and picking out the underwear covered in peppermint sticks and other oddities)...In fact, I think their new 'Pink' store is intended for teenagers, though I could be wrong....

Beyond that though...every time I try on a bra there I feel like it offers no support whatsoever. It's the same as going 'free.' Perhaps I'll have to give it another try....

Oh, and what REALLY irks me about that place is how the sales people won't leave you alone for a second. Has anyone else had that experience? I understand, it's their job--but how can I shop if they won't let me and continue to stalk me around the store, asking if I need help or wanting me to try on a new bra???

I agree with both of you.

I agree with both of you.  I don't even know what the PINK line is.  I will have to look it up.  I stopped shopping there years ago because everything was uncomfortable, the bras were a pain in the ass and I had to take several showers when I got home to get that sleezy feeling off of me after leaving.  Smiling

All I want is a bra that is comfortable and that lends support.  I don' want to look like Madonna.  Not everyday anyway.  That is way to distracting.  Great feedback and comments.  I hope Victoria is paying attention!

Another thing…..

I usually can’t shop there because I am a 38DD. Most of their bras don’t come in my size, only a few styles do. (BTW – big breast are a pain…literally. I can’t find shirts that fit and forget about jackets. The only thing they are good for is formalwear.)
I was in there about a year ago looking for a bra and the saleswoman was trying to sell me the IPEX bra. She pointed out that it had extra fabric in the “hot / cold” area. For some strange reason, you can’t get a Victoria’s Secret salesperson to say “nipple”, at least I can’t. If you are ever bored, give it a shot and let me know what happens.

I completely agree about not

I completely agree about not being able to find sizes that fit...and those that do fit...I tend to notice there is a 'spillage' factor after about the first five minutes.

That was always an issue for

That was always an issue for me and I am a 34C/D.   Because of the cuts, I was always hanging out over the top and that doesn't look good undershirts.  I hated it.  I aim for comfort.

All I know is this....

I had a friend who worked there and she said that because there were no cameras in the changing rooms, they frequently had a problem with women taking underwear (and I'm not talking bras here) into the rooms and trying them on--without anything else.

Don't know if this was true for every store, but I remember her recommending to always get the underwear from beneath the tables, where they keep them in boxes, or from those pull-out drawer things.

Ew. You ladies have it way too hard.

That is gross!

That is gross!

If you think Victoria's

If you think Victoria's Secret is sleezy then I guess you have never been to Fredericks of Hollywood!
I LOVE the bras at Victoria's Secret! I have needed "extra support" since having my daughter (11 years ago)and Victoria's Secret have never let me "down".

I remember that store! Are

I remember that store! Are they even still around? Good call....I completely agree that they are ABSOLUTELY sleazier...

Vickys and sex

Maybe love is always growing and evolving. Sex for me started by doing the little things like shopping with her, doing her honey do lists at her house and being there whenever needed. Buying lingerie for her made her feel special since others hadnt taken the time or energy to do so. Was it for me OF COURSE but when you care about a person its all good. Purchased some things at Target as well! Also it wouldnt have mattered what she did or didnt have on underneath. Its the mind and soul and heartfelt connection that kept it great for 5 years.

Great points

Great points, especially from a man's perspective.  I think at this stage in the game the conclusion I have come to is that I don't like to place so much emphasis on sex and or relationships.  I think it leads to so much disapointment and unrealistic expectations.  If it happens it happens and enjoy it in that moment instead of dreaming about how "great" the next time is going to be.  SO MUCH pressure for men and women to be sexual diva's or "erotic" in the bedroom.

I know I might represent a small percentage of the population, but I find it much more satisfying and fulfilling to just really like people.  The sex will come at the right time and what two people decide to do in those intimate moments is their business.

I am pretty simple when it comes all of this.

It does begin with you!

I like what you are saying. It took me a lot more years to realize that it begins with me and not my man. It was all about him for too many years and we fought too much. Now that I take care of myself he is much happier. Good for you Freda. You are in a good place.

Well of course, every time I

Well of course, every time I buy clothes, I do it for me! Because, let's be real, guys would dig every chick with boobs and a fine ass, right? For them, I buy catsuits or stockings, you know the drill. And indeed, bras can do wonders! It's very important to find one to perfectly match you! It's not like a six figures yearly, and it's very important for us I know.
