Turn housecleaning chores into exercise. It just takes a little imagination. Over-reach when vacuuming; do various bending and posture exercises when picking things up from the floor; do bum calisthenics while washing dishes. Think of stairs as a blessing! Just remember to do all this with good posture, so extra weight is not thrown onto your back. (Please check with your doc before doing any exercise.)
If you want height without wearing heels, try a wedge. These shoes are comfortable and come in any number of heights.
To cover roots between colorings, try brushing on an all-in-one cream-to-powder makeup. Use a foam wedge or a stiff makeup brush, and lightly "paint" the roots. It will come out easily with your next shampoo.
Another root-covering idea: liquid eyeshadows. Most come in a foam wand dispenser, and there is a huge choice of colors. Just remember to blend well, so there's no obvious line between your root color and the rest of your hair.
When applying eyeliner, never pull the skin. Although it is easier to get a smoooth line by using a finger to pull the skin out from the outer corner, any excess skin manipulation can cause wrinkles. In fact, why not make it a habit to totallly avoid pulling or tugging at your face. Rubbing your eyes can cause wrinkles (eventually), and unwashed hands can spread germs to your face. If you have, say, pet or flower allergies, picking flowers and then rubbing your eyes can precipitate an allergic reaction. Safer to just say: Hands off the face!
