I am so disgusted from reading the following story … “'HOW FAR CAN YOU BOUNCE?' SHOUTS PUSH SUICIDAL TEEN TO DEATH LEAP -- Jeering onlookers goaded a teenager in Britain to jump to his death, undermining police efforts to talk him down, and then took pictures of the body.” http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,431195,00.html

What is wrong with kids today? Are violent video games and over exposure to death and brutality through the internet making them hunger for gruesome experiences? My first thought at trying to comprehend such behavior reflected on the fact that throughout history and today, people have gathered to watch public executions. But, that is considered punishment and justice for criminal acts (whether you are for or against the death penalty or not – it’s not the point I’m making here). This was a person suffering and desperate and crying out for help! There is no excuse for the actions of heartless and mindless people who would try to verbally push another person over the edge of sanity to their death. Can people who do such a thing be productive members of society or are these criminal and dangerous minds revealed through despicable actions?

In my opinion, these people should be arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter or other punishable crime. How would they feel it that was their brother up there on the ledge and people were trying to convince him to jump?

It’s really sad to know that the pictures taken by these sick individuals will probably end up on the internet and shared around the world to receive an indifferent “Cool!” response from recipients who could care less about the individual whose life ended tragically or what caused him so much pain.
