Hillary: It's so Over!

After losing the North Carolina primary and just barely winning the Indiana primary, Hillary canceled all scheduled interviews with the morning talk shows. Word has it that she is hunkered down in the war room reassessing the situation.

Yesterday's resounding North Carolina Obama victory did several things for the 2008 Democratic Presidential Nomination:

1. The myth that Sen. Obama is an "elitist" was defeated as he received 36% of the white, working class vote in North Carolina. The people in Indiana rewarded Obama with an impressive tally among first time voters and the white, working class voters.

2. In North Carolina, 93% of African-American voters cast their ballots for Obama, which sent a strong message that the Rev. Wright situation is a thing of the past. Don't forget, the African-American community in North Carolina is steeped in the history of the civil rights movement, and it was in Greensboro, North Carolina where the lunch counter sit-ins ignited the civil rights and black student movements.

Barack Obama won the North Carolina Primary, 56% to 41%. James Carville is not a happy camper today, and I suspect neither is Bill.

3. Indiana is a traditional, blue collar, working class state and at least 85% of white, strongly conservative voters held Hillary Clinton to a standstill. Obama has denied her the "game changer" victory that Hillary was counting on. Indiana surprised everyone by showing that the Rev. Wright controversy, or the Hillary gas tax "holiday" had any real momentum with voters.

4. It should be known that Gary, Indiana is the city that really came through for Obama. It played a very important role in paving the way for advancing modern urban and African-American political landscape. This is the city that elected Mayor Richard Hatcher and the first black mayor of a big city and hosted the "Gary Convention" in 1972. Right now, Obama is riding on the shoulders of a powerful past and current history in the State of Indiana.

Face it, Barack Obama is going to be the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the United States in 2008. He should not allow Hillary or Bill Clinton to distract him from the campaign trail. The Clinton's ability to distort, name call, embellish, desperate attacks and childish antics are all well documented.

It's time for Hillary and Bill to bow out with some form of grace and dignity. Hillary... it's so over.

I agree. Well put Elie. Well put! Now it is down to McCain and Obama! I hope they spare us the nasty name calling and just stick to the facts at turning our country around.

YOUR WORDS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!

ELIE I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! WELL SAID! I love this man to death! I have made a blog explaining why Barack Obama should be our President please read it. And I agree Hillary should step down NOW! IT'S OVER HILLARY! Stop being a thorn in everyones side!

i guess it'll be AT LEAST

i guess it'll be AT LEAST another four years before i can get married/have a civil union/get the same benefits as every other citizen of this country. If Obama supported gay marriage, or at least civil unions, he'd be a pretty good candidate.

Travis, are you sure? I'm

Travis, are you sure? I'm sorry. It will work out and besides if you become rich and famous or WHEN become rich and famous, you don't want to end up having to split with some guy like the rest of us do!!!  Smiling

haha

Freda, you're right. WHEN i'm famous, i'll do whatever i want.

He Does.

Travis. Look on his website he supports gay marriage. Hope that helps sweetie.

Hillary does not have the class to know when it's over

Travis I know the gay marriage thing is personal but for most people is is not the BIG issue. This run for the White House has been all about her. All the lies: Bosnia lie, Annie Oakley, beer drinking, girl next door (with 109 million dollars) fake experience. Michigan doesn't count, no I need it so the voters must be heard.

How in the world would she recognize reality if it bit her in the butt. I just hope Obama does not get pushed in to having her as VP. Giving Bill access to a new crop of interns.

When I see her on TV I have to turn the sound down it is like fingernails on a blackboard. She is so fake.

LOL!

I feel the same way! Eye-wink

I have to third that

I have to third that comment!
