Tonight should be a very interesting night. I look forward to a debate between Biden and Palin.
While I hope that all there "study" time will help them answer the questions posed to them, I hope the "gotcha" questions don't sting too much.

I am looking forward to tonight as well. I hope that Palin can stand her own. I have been a disappointed by some of her interviews. Hillary was a bull dog but I didn't necessarily like her politics. But I thought she was one hell of a female candidate and one hell of a woman going up against the men.
We are just a shy a month to the big voting day and the entire nation, even the entire globe, is watching with ears and eyes open and wondering the same exact thing: "who is gonna win this great debate?"

Moments ago, the Dtroit Free Press (the major paper in Michigan) just announced that McCain has pulled all his ads in Michigan and that he conceded that Michigan belongs to Obama....Finally....at least HE gets it. As the states crumble, I smile....

I have concluded that Palin is "The Great Debater" but not in a way that would make her a great VP. She knows how to win a crowd with words like "Joe Sixpack" "Hockey moms" "doggonit" and "Maverick" but she can't seem to stick to the questions, especially the ones involving foreign policy. Sadly, many Americans don't care if she can't answer the questions. They like that she looks directly into the camera and "seems like" a good person.
I actually thought Biden did an okay job-surprisingly. I thought he'd be a bit of a dud. He started off slow, but seemed to end on a high note. I AM SO GLAD HE CALLED PALIN ON THE "MAVERICK" CRAP. I breathed a sigh of relief after his comments on that.

I thought it was interesting that Palin repeatedly chose to go in different directions when it came to answering questions. As an AP reported stated...."She had 40 minutes of prepared speeches and had to choose where to insert them during the debate.
Biden did an excellent job STICKING to the QUESTIONS posed, and not reading off her cue card, or as one reported stated...."he was the only one that didn't sound as though he were participating in a spelling Bee!"
