TOTALLY unique idea for moms/women who can't get motivated to clean their own houses

Ok, I had this idea the other night. I am, to put it mildly, domestically challenged when it comes to housework. I can cook, and I can do the other things that my kids require, but when it comes to cleaning, not happening. Yeah, SO not me. But, I was thinking about when I had friends that lived close enough to actually VISIT them (God, I miss being a Navy wife), and I'd go over and spend an afternoon with them, I'd start picking things up, and straightening up my girlfriend's house, and when they'd come over to MY house, they'd do the same thing. It was just something we *did* and we would talk about how we did this with most of our OTHER friends, too....

Well, long story short, we're dealing with CPS because of something unrelated to my housekeeping skills, the case is closed, but I was thinking (because my ex and I *DID* deal with them because of my housekeeping skills, partly) that I could tell the social worker about this. It would be a snap to set up a program for the county, families who needed housekeeping help could volunteer to be in it, and they could be paired up with one or two 'buddies' and they could meet up somewhere public with the worker the first couple of times to get comfortable with each other, and then kinda get together and help each other clean, because sometimes all you need is just someone there with you to keep you motivated. It wouldn't cost the county anything, and the people involved might even make new friends which might help prevent them from getting involved with the system again in the future.

Just a thought.

OMG this is an absolutely

OMG this is an absolutely brilliant idea. I live in a 200 sq ft apt and cannot get motivated to clean partly because of my busy schedule. Yet, I find the time to help my friends clean their houses when they need it. It is so strange!!!

If we lived in the same area I would totally swap cleaning with you!!
